QLD Flood – Leak Detection & Moisture Damage Insurance Claims

First of all, we would like to wish everyone in QLD the best of luck getting the big mess cleaned up from the flood damage. This is such a big problem for so many people in more ways than one. Not only did it claim lives, but the huge trail of destruction is going to be felt for along time to come in so many ways.

For those of you who feel you have a claim for insurance, you could look at thermal imaging reports and moisture testing walls as a way to detect any additional water damage that you may not be able to see behind the walls. Even if your house didn’t get flooded above floor level, you may have other storm related leak damage that you aren’t aware of.

The government appears to be pitching in alot of money to help repair the flood damage in QLD, so a sensible way to strengthen your claim if you are eligible could be with an independent building report using infrared cameras.
