Photo – Glass Around Atrium Causing a Leak
When you have lots of glass panels, leak entry points can be hard to identify.
Here’s an infrared photos of a leak coming down from the atrium above…
In this particular leak inspection, the vendor had noticed that the bottom of the plaster board wall was slightly changing colour. It didn’t occur at the time that the leak could be coming from the atrium above… until we pulled out the thermal imaging camera. We found the leak very quickly.
The dark shade in the thermal photo below shows the leak coming in around the window sill area, and then running down the wall…

The inspector responded to my email query stunningly quickly, and I was so glad it suited him to do the moisture detection inspection on the very same day!
