Good Insulation

Insulating your home or commercial property is the single most important step you can take to insure property efficiency. Many people wonder how to save money on their energy bills; well the answer is simple, and it’s not just about having ‘good insulation’, is about having very good air tight insulation. About 50 to 70% of your home’s energy comes from just heating and cooling. By having a well insulated air tight property, it will be warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer, and as a result you save money on air conditioning and heating bills.

Building Efficiency

Poor insulation and air leakage are the leading causes of energy waste in most Australian houses and around the world. Air leakage occurs mostly in the ceilings and floors of a home at about 70%, and 30% coming from the doors, windows, and side walls. This causes you to use more air conditioning in the summer and more heat in the winter, where as if you had better insulation you could keep the property at a uniform temperature all year long.

You can see in this picture the obvious air flow coming in around this poorly sealed door. These big gaps are driving in air, and driving up the home energy bill… and that’s exactly what we can detect when we do a Infrared scan on your home.
