It’s important to move with the times, and it appears these days that a standard building inspection may not show up everything that could be happening behind the plaster board. We are forever finding leaks and moisture in homes that the new buyer has no idea about.

Any savvy home buyer that is about to hand over big $$$ to buy a house should also take the basic steps before signing the dotted line to ensure themselves they aren’t buying a house full of water. You would be suprised how many times people ‘suddenly’ have a leak appear soon after they move into the home. Little did they know it was actually already there… but hadn’t yet penetrated the wall and shown itself.

The inspector responded to my email query stunningly quickly, and I was so glad it suited him to do the moisture detection inspection on the very same day!
